The Cultural Unit of the U.S. Consulate works closely with the other elements of the U.S. Mission, as well as with a wide range of Hong Kong and Macau public and private organizations to encourage broader understanding of the United States and its relationship with Hong Kong and Macau through educational and cultural exchanges.
Art in Embassies: Established by the United States Department of State in 1964, the Art In Embassies Program is a global museum that exhibits original works of art by U.S. citizens in the public rooms of approximately 180 American diplomatic residences worldwide.
US Speakers Program: Each year the Department of State organizes over 1,000 traveling and electronic events for American experts to engage with foreign audiences worldwide. American experts on a diverse range of issues speak and exchange views with various audiences, including government officials, professionals, students, media and the general public.
