Celebrating 175 Years in Hong Kong
This year the U.S. Consulate General Hong Kong and Macau celebrates 175 years of diplomatic relations with Hong Kong. The first U.S. Consul General, Thomas Waldron, was appointed as Consul General to Hong Kong on July 21, 1843, and arrived in Hong Kong in early February 1844. The U.S. Consulate General will be celebrating this milestone throughout 2018 with events, programs, and on social media. Join the celebration!
We invite organizations to submit proposals to highlight U.S.-Hong Kong ties as part of the 2018 celebration of the 175th anniversary of the establishment of our Consulate General. Please see the details (PDF 67 KB).
