On August 29, Consul General Tong hosted a breakfast in honor of Luis CdeBaca, the former Ambassador-at-Large to Monitor and Combat Trafficking in Persons, who is in Hong Kong to speak at the Thomson Reuters-organized Anti-Slavery Summit. Consul General Tong, Ambassador CdeBaca and representatives from Liberty Asia, Blackpeak, UBS, the United States Department of Homeland Security, Goldman Sachs, Clifford Chance, and ABN AMRO Bank exchanged ideas and best practices on anti-trafficking in person efforts, particularly in the areas of victim assistance, anti-money laundering and disruption of financing for trafficking organizations.
