U.S. Congressional Delegation Stresses Importance of U.S. Hong Kong Relationship

Congressman Rodney Frelinghuysen (R-NJ), Chairman of the Appropriations Committee of the U.S. House of Representatives, led a bipartisan delegation to Hong Kong July 3-6. Joined by Congressman Pete Aguilar of California (D-CA), Chairman Frelinghuysen met The Honorable Mrs. Carrie Lam Cheng Yuet-Ngor, the Chief Executive of the Hong Kong Special Administrative Region, members of the Legislative Council, and leaders of the Hong Kong and American business community and reaffirmed Hong Kong’s importance to the United States of America. Chairman Frelinghuysen also joined the Consulate General for the celebration of U.S. Independence Day and the 175th anniversary of the U.S. diplomatic presence in Hong Kong.
