The U.S. Commercial Service in Hong Kong recently signed agreements with the Hong Kong Electronic Industries Association (HKEIA) and the Fintech Association of Hong Kong to promote commercial linkages between U.S. exporters and Hong Kong companies. U.S.-based companies are global innovators and leaders in the fintech and electronics industries. Building on long-standing relationships, these agreements provide a framework for increased partnership by promoting business ties between United States and Hong Kong companies.
The U.S. Commercial Service’s partnership agreement with HKEIA will support the development of the electronic industries in both the United States and Hong Kong. Specific activities include: (1) investment missions to the United States and export promotion missions to Hong Kong; (2) a series of seminars and webinars connecting U.S. and Hong Kong companies in the electronics sector; and (3) business matchmaking meetings between U.S. electronics companies, HKEIA members, and other key market figures.
The agreement between the U.S. Consulate’s Commercial Service and the Fintech Association of Hong Kong will deepen relationships between leading U.S. and Hong Kong companies. Under the agreement, this coming November the U.S. Commercial Service and the Fintech Association of Hong Kong will jointly promote Fintech Week and set up business matchmaking meetings between leading U.S. fintech companies and potential clients, accelerators, investors, and other organizations in Hong Kong.
