The Hong Kong Observatory issued Storm Signal 8 for Monday, July 17, 2023. Expect heavy rains and strong winds with possible flooding, landslides, power outages, and difficult travel conditions throughout Hong Kong and Macau.
As the Storm Signal 8 remained in effect at 7:00 am on Monday morning, the U.S. Consulate General in Hong Kong and Macau cancelled all visa, passport, Consular Report of Birth Abroad, and notarial appointments on Monday, July 17, 2023.
