In person payment options are as follows:
- U.S. or local currency;
- Please note that the Consulate cannot accept Hong Kong currency in denominations larger than 500 HKD bills (i.e., we do not accept 1000 HKD bills or greater).
- Please also note that we regret that US $100 banknote series 1990 and also series 1914-1990 are no longer accepted.
- Visa, MasterCard, Discover, American Express or Diners Club. All credit card transactions are in U.S. dollars as if the transaction occurred in the United States.
Mail payment options are as follows:
- Via pay.gov: Adult passport applicants in Hong Kong or Macau who are renewing their passports via mail can use Pay.Gov to pay the passport fees. This service only applies to adult passport applicants who are renewing their full validity, ten-year passports. Please note: only the $130 USD fee for the passport book can be paid via pay.gov. If you also wish to apply for a card, you must include payment for the card via bank draft or money order. Please see the sample check (PDF 157 KB) for reference. Please also note: You should choose HONG KONG from the drop-down menu, not China. Online payment can be submitted via U.S. or international credit or debit card, electronic funds transfer from a U.S.-based bank account, Amazon Pay, or Pay Pal. After payment, print the payment receipt and include in your renewal packet.
