Fees/Payment

The U.S. Department of State announced a worldwide increase in the fees for the following services effective September 26, 2015: passport and passport pages, passport cards, Consular Report of Birth Abroad, renunciations, and notarials. You will continue to receive a receipt upon payment.

Payment options are as follows:

  • U.S. or local currency;
    • Please note that the Consulate cannot accept Hong Kong currency in denominations larger than 500 HKD bills (i.e., we do not accept 1000 HKD bills or greater).
    • Please also note that we regret that US $100 banknote series 1990 and also series 1914-1990 are no longer accepted.
  • Visa, MasterCard, Discover, American Express or Diners Club. All credit card transactions are in U.S. dollars, as if the transaction occurred in the United States.
